Author archive pages

Author archive pages list all content written by a specific user on your site. Single author sites should disable the author archives to avoid duplicate content errors. Multiple author sites should enable the author archives and customize the author sitemap.

Enable Author Archives

  • Log in to your WordPress website. When you’re logged in, you will be in your ‘Dashboard’. On the left-hand side, you will see a menu. In that menu, click on ‘SEO’.
  • The ‘SEO’ settings will expand providing you additional options. Click on ‘Search Appearance’.
  • Click on the ‘Archives’ tab.

  • Toggle the ‘Author archives’ switch to ‘Enabled’.Yoast SEO Toggle Switch
  • Click ‘Save Changes’.

Disable Author Archives

  • Click on the ‘Archives’ tab.

  • Toggle the ‘Author archives’ switch to ‘Disabled’.
