How Do I Change the WooCommerce Shop Page Title?

You can change the title and meta description for your WooCommerce shop page directly in the Snippet Preview on the WooCommerce shop page. You can check which page is your shop page when you go to WooCommerce > Settings > Products and then edit the page under the Pages menu.

  • Log in to your WordPress website. When you’re logged in, you will be in your ‘Dashboard’. On the left-hand side, you will see a menu. In that menu, click on ‘WooCommerce’.
  • The Settings menu will expand providing you additional options. Click on ‘Settings’
  • Click on the ‘Products’ tab.
  • The name of the shop page will show under ‘Shop page’. Remember the name of this page—you’ll need it in a minute.
    WooCommerce > Settings > Products > Shop Page
  • In the left-hand side menu, click on ‘Pages’.
  • Search for the name of the shop page.
    Pages > Shop Page
  • Click ‘Edit’.
  • Add or change the title and meta description in the Yoast SEO metabox by clicking ‘Edit snippet’.
  • Click ‘Update’.

Fallback Method

If the method above does not work, please change the template variable for the shop page can be set by going to ‘SEO -> Search Appearance -> Content Types’.

  • The ‘SEO’ settings will expand providing you additional options. Click on ‘Search Appearance’.
    Admin > SEO > Search Appearance
  • Click on ‘Content Types’.
  • Scrolling to the bottom will take you to the Custom Post Type Archives where you can set the title and meta description for your shop page.
