Installation Guide for Yoast SEO: Local SEO for WooCommerce

First of all, thanks for buying the Local SEO for WooCommerce plugin. Setting up and using this plugin is very easy.

Please make sure you’ve activated Yoast SEO or Yoast SEO Premium already, as it is required for the Local SEO for WooCommerce plugin to work. You’ll also need the WooCommerce plugin. Local SEO for WooCommerce will add a new shipping method to your WooCommerce settings with which you can ship your orders to your local stores.

When you also have our Local SEO plugin please deactivate it. Local SEO for WooCommerce offers the same functionality plus a whole lot more if you are using WooCommerce.

When you have paid for the plugin you will receive an email with the activation code, which looks like this: 


You can download the zip file mentioned in this email and upload it into your WordPress installation. To do this, go to Plugins → Add New and click the Upload Plugin button:


On this page, click “Choose file”, select the zip file and upload it by clicking the “Install Now” button:


After the plugin installation completes. Click the activate plugin link. You should now have a new option called “Local SEO” menu item in your SEO menu and You should have a new shipping method available inside your WooCommerce settings, called: “Local Store Pickup”.

Activate your License

First go to to SEO → Go Premium.

Yoast SEO > Go Premium

Afterward, go to the Licenses tab. It lists all licenses for Yoast SEO Premium and all of its add-ons. Now enter your license key and press Save Changes (or Activate License, if available).


Your license should now be activated and the red button should be green now.

If your license isn’t activated, please take a look at license page in our knowledgebase to get an explanation for the error you’ve received.
